ALACE pressure makes Treasury release equalities impact assessment of exit payment cap
ALACE is pleased to announce that the Treasury has released the equalities impact assessment for the exit payment cap regulations. This has happened only because ALACE requested an internal review of the original decision to refuse to release the document in response to ALACE’s freedom of information request. As the Treasury letter states, the assessment may have to change if the Government does not secure Parliament’s support for the regulations that have been tabled and different regulations were brought forward. ALACE is making the document publicly available, and will be discussing it with other unions in terms of next steps in opposing the Treasury regulations.
