PAY DEAL AGREED FOR CHIEF OFFICERS

The JNC for Chief Officers which covers England, Wales, and Northern Ireland has agreed a 2% pay increase in April 2018 and in April 2019. ALACE SECURES DOUBLING OF PAY OFFER FOR CHIEF EXECUTIVES

ALACE has secured a much improved offer from the Local Government Employers. The revised offer of 2% in 2018 and in 2019 has been accepted as it matches the increase for the generality of staff.  It contrasts with the original offer of 1% for one year only. The Chair, Vice Chair and Hon Secretary of ALACE had a useful meeting with representatives of the Local Government Employers on 30 May to discuss the pay increase for chief executives.
